Physical media Collectors do not get enough cool franchise Boxsets! Sure, there’s been plenty available but there’s also so many we need to get our grubby little paws on. In this list I’ve selected what I think our the greatest franchise boxsets available from the horror genre of course. Sorry DVD heads, that format is not supported in this list. Simply because that’s a whole different list on it’s own. Take into account that I will be including boxsets that may have been a complete franchise at some point, however since there will have been films added to some franchises, to qualify for this list each boxset must house at least four movies from a particular series of movies. The criteria is that simple. Let’s get started.

5. Hellraiser quartet of Torment Limited Edition 4K UHD Boxset
Released: 23rd October 2023
Label: Arrow Video
I never did own the Scarlett Hellraiser trilogy Blu-Ray set. Which looked amazing I have to say. With that said imagine how pumped I was when Arrow announced this magnificent piece. With a beautiful hard box design, two cover arts to choose from, stacks of extras & archival features and the fourth film from the franchise. The hard bound book is also gorgeously put together.
4. The Psycho Collection Limited Edition 4K UHD
Release Date: 25th September 2023
Label: Arrow Video
Housed in individual Black Amaray cases. This out of print four film collection has everything a psycho fan could of asked for. It even includes a Universal 4K of the first instalment. The three sequels were new Arrow 4K disks. Mother would be proud!

3. Phantasm 5 Film Limited Edition sphere and Book.
Released: 24th April 2017
Label: Arrow Video
Yes yes it’s Arrow again! Now this is a boxset for collectors to drool over. The amazing thing about this piece is it still remains complete to this day. The sphere is fun to display and throw at people, I like to pretend I’m the tall man occasionally.
2. Halloween The complete Collection Blu-Ray
Released: 23rd September 2014
Label: Scream Factory
Released in Scream Factory’s heyday when the label felt very special. Also long before I was region free and collected their titles. The fans were served up this excellent Halloween Boxset which was complete eleven years ago. That is not the case now after the latest trilogy. The Myer’s boxset boasted 15 disks including one DVD. At the time this was a big deal for collectors alike and is now long out of print.

1. Friday The 13th Complete Deluxe collection Blu-Ray
Released: 13th October 2020
Label Scream Factory
Twelve films across sixteen disks including 4K scans of the first four movies and countless hours of bonus features. This is the greatest horror franchise boxset ever. It’s still complete housing every movie in the franchise so far. This is why I went region free Blu-Ray, the catalyst for my physical media all region adventure. It’s still available brand new to this day.
There you have it the 5 greatest 4k/Blu-Ray boxsets ever released. Just my opinion but let’s face it even if you compiled a different list, there’s no denying that these are some of the best boxsets ever released.
