Bride of Chucky 4K UHD Review

1998’s Bride of Chucky has hit 4K from Scream factory. With a crystal clear beautiful looking transfer.

Bride of Chucky the fourth instalment in the Don Mancini’s Child’s Play franchise is the Bride of Frankenstein amped up with killer dolls, rock music and a murderous road trip from hell. Tiffany played by Jenifer Tilly is the cuckoo ex-girlfriend of serial Killer Charles Lee Ray who transferred his soul and essence into a good guy doll through voodoo magic. After the events from Child’s Play 3 Chucky’s remains are now kept under lock and key in a police evidence locker. This won’t stop Tiffany from reuniting with her man as she hatches a killer plan to rekindle her old flame.

The new 4K Transfer

Scream factory is known over the past two years for putting out some must own horror classics on the 4K format. Bride of Chuck is no exception. The 25 year old horror sequel looks spectacular in ultra high definition. Perhaps even too shiny. If there’s such a thing. The colours pop and the picture quality is impeccable. Everything presented looks crystal clear, crisp and as sharp as Chucky’s blade. The waterbed kill scene looks bloody spectacular and may never look better again.

This collectors edition is slightly lacking in the special features but I can forgive that as there is an abundance of audio commentaries and a good location feature. All I can say is if you’re a Chucky fan or film Collector. You need this 4K in your collection. Scream factory has delivered another essential upgrade on the 4K format.
