A full moon favourite of mine since first watching in 2018, which happened to be my first 88 Films Blu-Ray purchase. Directed by horror icon Stuart Gordon and starring more genre icons, Jeffrey Combs & Barbara Crampton. This flesh-crawling tale set in Italy demonstrates the potential insanity that a human could succumb to when tortured and left in a dungeon. When the Reilly family inherit a relative’s creepy castle they are in for absolute terror once they visit their new castle.
After a fatal car accident caused by John (Jeffrey Combs), which left his daughter Rebecca blind, Mr & Mrs Reilly’s relationship is on rocky territory. Hoping to win his wife back over whilst the family visit the castle, things do not seem right, shadows move, the wind blows and someone or something is lurking, watching and hungry.

This beautiful new Black Label Limited Edition #43 Blu-Ray release features ghastly new artwork featured on it’s slipcase. There’s an accompanying book with plenty of info and the inner case sleeve has reversible art. There’s the new piece and the original to display depending on your taste. The transfer looked sharp as a blade, a very great looking Blu-Ray disk indeed. There’s new exclusive special features including interviews and some archival bonus material from previous releases. There were some different extras featured on the 88 Films Blu-Ray that aren’t here. Don’t let that deter you as there’s more than enough here for freaks to sink their teeth into.
