This new Shudder original is a devilish endeavour featuring great performances from the whole cast. It’s set in the seventies and captures the aesthetic perfectly. David Dastmalchian’s performance as Night Owls host Jack Delroy is electric and throughly convincing as a late night talk show host.
The Night Owls Halloween special picks up steam when guest Christou begins projectile vomiting. A young girl, Lilly D’Abo, accompanied by June Ross Mitchell, is placed under hypnosis and begins showing signs of possible possession. Sceptic, Carmichael Haig, announces this as trickery however as the night progresses it becomes apparent that something sinister is planning on taking over tonight’s episode of Night Owls.
