BAD BIOLOGY (2008) 4K Severin Review

Having never heard of Bad Biology and me being a fan of the director Frank Henenlotter’s older work, such as The Basket Case trilogy and Frankenhooker, I was extremely curious to check out this new UK 4K release from Severin.

It’s an insane body horror with a horny woman with seven clitorises and an appetite for sex that is unrivalled. Our other protagonist Has a humongous mutated monster cock with a mind of it’s own. It can also detach itself. There’s a hilarious scene where the penis leaves it’s master and goes rogue on a sexual adventure. Unsuspecting women in their homes should beware.

Overall the film is very silly and completely what you would expect from Frank Henenlotter. I loved it and had an awesome time watching. It’s a lot of fun and the characters have dimensions and to my surprise were pleasantly likeable. It’s a slightly trashy movie but all of Henenlotter’s are for the most part. There’s some hilariously sexually charged antics involved.

Its fantastic living in a time where an oddity like this receives the 4K treatment curtsey of labels like Severin. The transfer looks pretty nice its a very clear looking film as it was only made in 2008. There’s also a bonus Blu-Ray disk with quite a few special features. This one is definitely worth a buy especially for fans of the director’s previous movies. Severin have also released a Blu-Ray edition for those who wish to have it on that format.
