5 Horror Hidden Gems for Halloween

5. Don’t Go In The Woods (1981)

If you are looking for some low budget schlocky slasher fun, look no further than Don’t Go in the Woods. It’s for connoisseurs of trashy bad movies. So you have to be all in with its ridiculous acting. Basically a neanderthal woods dweller murders campers in brutal fashion.

4. Lake Nowhere (2014)

This low budget, short, fifty minute film is dropping in retro essence. Set in the late seventies, early eighties, a group of friends venture to a remote cabin in the woods near a beach. Things get crazy when a huge, foreboding killer emerges from the lake.

3. The Witches Mountain (1973)

A strange Spanish oddity this is. A photographer ventures into the Spanish countryside unaware of the deadly coven of witches that roam there. Sure some will find this movie slow but there’s so much aesthetically pleasing delights including the beautiful countryside & mountains.

2. Horror In The High Desert (2021)

One of the most interesting and compelling found footage mockumentaries I have ever encountered. A YouTuber/Explorer ventures into the Nevada desert and is never seen again. The footage he shot shows up and what is revealed is chilling, nerve shredding and disturbing. Theres something out there and it does not want to be found.

1. Bad Moon (1996)

A werewolf preys on a mother and her young son where they live. Who is the werewolf? It could be someone close. The werewolf effects are great and the family’s dog can sense something is wrong, resulting in a bloody showdown between the Dog and the werewolf.
