2025’s Most Wanted On Physical Media In The UK

2024 was a banner year for physical media and collectors. But as good as it was there’s still some movies that we are craving and we need top releases for these films. Many titles on this list still haven’t even had a Blu-ray release over here in the UK.

Pumpkinhead (1988)

Pumpkinhead has evaded us collectors in the UK for far too long. Sure I have the American Scream Factory 4K which is exceptional. Still Pumpkinhead has never had the release it deserves. It finally hit online stores for download last year courtesy of Second Sight, which is a start I guess. Here’s hoping Pumpkinhead finally gets a UK Blu-Ray release this year and a 4K. My money is on Second Sight. Who will put out a limited edition set. I’m predicting an October physical media release on Blu-ray & 4K.

My Bloody Valentine Uncut (1981)

Another slasher heavyweight that has never seen the light of day on Blu-ray over here. Here’s looking at the boutique labels. We want a Blu-ray & 4k. Imagine if arrow surprise us with this title. My mind will be blown.

The Return of The Living Dead (1985)

Second Sight had a release on Blu-Ray ten years ago which is long out of print. I’m predicting they’ll do the UK 4K debut and the new accompanying Blu-Ray disk.

A Nightmare On Elm Street franchise 4K boxset.

Now, this is apparently in the works and I do think we will see this available for Halloween. It be will a Warner Bros release not a boutique release.

The Phantom Carriage (1921)

This black and white silent classic needs to have more eyes on it. It’s haunting aesthetic is something to behold. There’s a Criterion Region A which I bought many years ago. Criterion could release in the uk. This title would be right up Eureka entertainments street also. I could see them adding it to their line and it would be a perfect fit.

I can already tell 2025 is going to be another great year for Blu-ray & 4K.
